STORAGE

Fresh coffee is best enjoyed within three months of the roast date.

In general, since coffee is roasted and then sealed in airtight packages, it does not have a fixed best before date like other fresh produce. We usually suggest six months from packaging as a standard best before date for all coffees.

It is similar to a chocolate bar or tea, it will lose it's flavor and pungent aromatics long before it becomes inedible.

With this in mind, please use your best judgement and pick the appropriate storage method for your beans. If you grind the coffee, it will oxidise much faster, and the optimal flavor and aromatics will disappear much sooner than if kept whole.

Beans are best kept frozen if to be enjoyed at a later date. Otherwise, stored in a cool, dry place for up to six months from the roast date (which is noted on the package).
